Invade and Posses the gates of the enemy

Gates are any point of entry or exit whether physical or spiritual. They can be doors, windows, roads, access by air, water and land. Biological by breathing in contaminates, ingesting them, by touch, or injected into the bloodstream.
They can enter through your 5 senses, sight, touch, hearing, smell and taste.
We are called to guard our hearts and minds. Proverbs 4:23 Above all else guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Philippians 4:7 and the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
We are also called to be watchmen on the wall and to possess the gates of the enemy.
How do we do that?
We must first have a cause just as David did when he fought Goliath. He asked the question in 1 Samuel 17:29 what have I done? Is there not a cause? David stood up to fight the enemy when even the trained men were afraid of Goliath. He knew and believed in the cause for fighting and he fought.
We must pick our battles, we need to know if they are ours to fight or someone else, or if we are not to fight at all. Proverbs 20:3 It is honorable for a man to stop striving since any fool can start a quarrel. Proverbs 19:11 the discretion of a man makes him slow to anger and his glory is to overlook a transgression. 2 Chronicles 20:17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand firm and see the salvation of the Lord who is with you.
Sometimes we are called to fight Deuteronomy 20:3-4 Here Israel, today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be faint hearted or afraid. Do not tremble or be terrified of them. For the Lord your God is with you. Psalm 21:31 The victory belongs to the Lord.
How do we get battle ready?
Read the word, trust in the Lord, serve the Lord, turn away from evil. Put on the full armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Joshua 6:1-27 the walls of Jericho fell after the people marched around the walls, blew the shofars and shouted.
The enemy could hear them, the sound of marching can't be quiet, when roman soldiers marched, they wore heavy soled hobnailed sandals, you could hear the sound.
Sometimes we need to make a sound, have a presence, be known. Let the enemy know we will not back down, take a seat, shut up, be walked on or compromise our beliefs.
We need to invade and possess the gates of the enemy. To take a stand for what is right, for the cause of Christ.
To plant the victory flag so the enemy knows this is our territory and he has no claim to it or right to be on it.
That is holy ground and belongs to the Lord and those who belong to him.
We need to then be watchmen on the wall. Ezekiel 33:3-9 When the watchmen see the enemy coming, he sounds the alarm to warn the people.
Ezekiel 3:17 I made you are a watchman.
The days are evil, it's time to take a stand, to fight the good fight, to win souls for the Kingdom of God, not to shrink back but to go forward into battle, onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war with the Word of Jesus going on before.
Let's invade and possess the gates of the enemy starting today, never letting up until Victory is won!
